Get to Know Dr. Taylor Knier, DDS
- I joined the team at Kings Mountain Dental in 2021, and have felt at home ever since. I love my co-workers, and we love our patients! One of my favorite parts about being a dentist is helping patients smile more confidently. Handing patients a mirror at the end of an appointment to see the result always brings me so much joy.
- I also have lots of fun working with our population of pediatric patients in Kings Mountain. I strive to make each dental experience a positive one, and hope to foster a sense of comfort for all patients, no matter their age
- I went to UNC for Dental School, but USC for undergrad, so I don’t discriminate when it comes to the Carolinas. If absolutely forced to choose, I pick UNC for basketball and USC for football. I promise not to hold it against you if you’re a Duke or Clemson fan, though!
- When I’m not practicing dentistry, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My husband, Matt and I are usually “getting our steps in” by chasing around our toddler, Lawson. We are actively involved with our church, Selwyn Avenue Presbyterian, and love to play pickleball or hike Crowder’s Mountain on Saturday mornings
- Like Dr. George’s discovery of Chow Chow in Kings Mountain, I grew up in Charlotte but didn’t try R.O.’s Sauce/Slaw until I started working in Kings Mountain. It’s now my favorite addition to BBQ – I don’t know how I lived without it!

- I consider myself fortunate to have been a part of this community for the past 16 years. In this time I have made lasting relationships with my patients and have gotten to know them as people and their families as well.
- My main goal is to provide friendly care whatever the problem might be. I truly believe that at it’s core, our practice is all about Peace, Love and Dentistry!
- Faith and family values are important to me and I am an active member of St. Mark Church. In my free time, playing tennis is one of my great joys and I try and play at least twice a week.
- Aquascaping has been a passion of mine apart from tending to my organic fruit trees and weekly brewing of homemade kombucha in different flavors.
- Through my patients in Kings Mountain, I have been introduced to various Southern staples -Chow Chow being one of them!

During your first visit to Kings Mountain Family Dentistry, we take the time to get to know you and your dental health history. Our team will conduct a thorough examination, which includes digital radiographs (x-rays), digital photos, and an assessment of your jaw joints (TMJ) and associated muscles. We will also examine your mouth's hard and soft tissues and perform an oral cancer screening. This comprehensive approach helps us understand your unique dental needs and allows us to create a personalized treatment plan.
